Data Deletion Request

Delete Your Data Without Deleting Your Account

Overview

You can delete some or all of your personal data while keeping your Yaowise account. This gives you more flexible control over your privacy.

Note: If you wish to delete your account entirely, please visit the Account Deletion page.

Types of Data You Can Delete

1. Divination Records

Within the App:

  • Delete a single record: On the "History" page, swipe left on the record you want to delete and tap "Delete"
  • Delete all records: Settings → Privacy & Security → Clear Divination Records

Effect: Selected divination records and their interpretations will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered

2. Calendar Prediction Data

Within the App:

  • Settings → Privacy & Security → Clear Calendar Data

Effect: All timeline predictions and calendar markers will be cleared

3. Profile Information

Within the App:

  • Change nickname: Profile → Tap nickname → Edit or clear
  • Change avatar: Profile → Tap avatar → Select "Remove Avatar"
  • Change birth information: Profile → Personal Information → Edit or clear

4. Third-Party Account Bindings

Within the App:

  • Unlink WeChat: Settings → Account Security → Unlink WeChat
  • Unlink Apple account: Settings → Account Security → Unlink Apple

Note: After unlinking, you can still log in using your email or phone number

5. Device and Login Information

Within the App:

  • View logged-in devices: Settings → Account Security → Device Management
  • Remove a device: Tap the device to remove → Remove This Device

If you need to delete data that cannot be directly deleted within the app, or would like our assistance, please send an email:

    • Your account email or phone number
    • The specific type(s) of data to be deleted (see list above)
    • Reason for deletion (optional)
  • Processing time: We will process your request within 7 business days

Data That Cannot Be Deleted

The following data cannot be deleted due to legal, security, or technical reasons, but will be anonymized:

  • Transaction records: Must be retained for 7 years as required by tax regulations
  • Anti-fraud logs: Used to prevent abuse and fraudulent activity
  • Aggregated statistical data: Fully anonymized and contains no personally identifiable information

Data Export

Before deleting your data, you may request an export of your data:

  • Send an email to: support@yaowise.com
  • Subject: Data Export Request
  • Description: Specify which data you would like to export
  • Format: We will provide a copy of your data in JSON format
  • Processing time: Within 7 business days

Important Notice

Please Note Before Deletion

  • Irreversible: Deleted data cannot be recovered; please proceed with caution
  • Account preserved: Deleting data will not delete your account
  • Functionality impact: Deleting certain data may affect app functionality (e.g., deleting birth information may affect prediction accuracy)
  • Yao Coins preserved: Deleting data will not affect your Yao Coins balance or VIP status

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I recover data after deletion?

A: No. Once data is deleted, it is permanently removed and cannot be recovered. We recommend exporting a backup before deletion.

Q: Will deleting divination records affect my Yao Coins?

A: No. Deleting your history will not affect your Yao Coins balance, VIP status, or other rewards.

Q: Can I delete data from specific dates only?

A: Yes. You can selectively delete individual records within the app. For bulk deletion of data within a specific date range, please contact us via email.

Q: Can I still log in with WeChat after unlinking it?

A: No. After unlinking, you will need to log in using your email or phone number. You can re-link WeChat at any time.

Q: Is there a fee for data deletion?

A: No. All data deletion services are provided free of charge.
