How to Delete Your Yaowise Account
We respect your right to control your personal data. You may request deletion of your Yaowise account and associated data at any time.
Deletion Methods
Method 1: Delete Within the App (Recommended)
- Open the Yaowise app
- Go to the "Profile" page
- Tap the settings icon in the top-right corner
- Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm the deletion
Method 2: Send an Email Request
If you are unable to access the app, you may request account deletion via email:
- Send to: support@yaowise.com
- Subject: Account Deletion Request
- Email body: Please include the following information
- The email address or phone number associated with your account
- Your account username (if you remember it)
- Reason for deletion (optional)
Processing time: We will process your deletion request within 7 business days of receipt.
Data Handling After Deletion
Data Deleted Immediately
The following data will be permanently deleted from our systems immediately upon account deletion:
- Profile information (nickname, avatar, date of birth, etc.)
- All divination records and historical data
- Calendar prediction data
- Yao Coins balance and VIP status
- Device push notification tokens
- Third-party account bindings (WeChat, Apple)
Data Deleted After 90-Day Retention
The following data will be retained for 90 days before deletion (for fraud and abuse prevention):
- Login logs (excluding passwords)
- Transaction records (if any purchases were made)
Data Retained Permanently
Due to legal requirements and business needs, the following anonymized data will be retained:
- Aggregated statistical data (containing no personally identifiable information)
- Financial records (as required by tax regulations)
Data Export
Before deleting your account, you may request an export of your data:
- Send an email to: support@yaowise.com
- Subject: Data Export Request
- We will send you a copy of your data in JSON format within 7 business days
Partial Data Deletion
If you only wish to delete some of your data without deleting your entire account, you can:
Within the App
- Delete individual divination records: Swipe left on a record in your history to delete it
- Clear divination history: Settings → Privacy → Clear Divination Records
- Unlink third-party accounts: Settings → Account Security → Unlink WeChat/Apple
Via Email Request
Send an email to support@yaowise.com specifying which data you would like deleted.
Important Notice
- Irreversible: Once your account is deleted, all data will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered
- Yao Coins forfeited: Your Yao Coins balance will be cleared and cannot be refunded
- VIP invalidated: Your VIP membership will be terminated immediately; unused time will not be refunded
- Referral links: Your referral code will become invalid, but users you have already referred will not be affected
